E55 on a planted tank?

    Would an E55 do any good on a 50g freshwater planted tank? And since the barb is 1/2", and my hose is 5/8"...is it ok if I use metal clamps to hold it in place. Would this impair the gadget in any way? Thanks, I really like your board! :)

    I would think the clamps would be fine, but I have no idea about that filter! They have good customer service, ask them and let us know. :)
