Grats on the great tanks mate!

Do you guys think two 300 Gallon tanks would be alot of work?

Wow, this is dredging up an old thread.

I don't find the 300 to be an excessive amount of work. It's just a pain dealing with that much plex when the tank(s) are having fun making lots o coraline. It is a never ending battle to try and keep the plex clean without scratching it. I'm close to what you are looking at. I have a 90 fowler too. Both are run into the same 210g basement sump and hardware. It dramatically reduces the amount of maintenance. If you are planning on 2 tanks, I highly recommend figuring out a way to merge the plumbing. As a side benefit, you end up with a huge amount of water in 1 system (600 for me) and everything is very stable.

Coraline is algea that grows on the plex Plex=Plexiglass=Brandname for cellcast acrilic which is what the tanks made of. CellCast is much softer than glass So if your not carefull when cleaning off the coraline it will scratch;D

    thx darkliteseeker

It's probably worth mentioning that coraline is loaded with calcium so it is a pain to get off once established.

Coralline is actually a coral more so then a algae. Its thought to be one of the oldest forms of encrusting coral living today. Last i heard ? :)
