    Its probably from where you touched it with your fingers when putting it in the tank.. LPS And sps corals will recede from their skeletons if body oils get on the skeleton when the flesh is receded . Always wash your hands well first or use Latex gloves ..LPS corals are notorious for this malady.and once its gone and algae sets in the area its curtains for that head .
