I wouldn't think it would be mag then? A large change like that should keep it in the acceptable range I would think? We need to get this figured out for you! You have a beautiful tank and based on what you've said is all set for coral success.....

Although my calc and alk are in range, they're at the low end. So although it's good enough to keep coral, I would think that it's too low to keep them well, no?

I don't have a Mag or Phospate test kit. Should I invest in them? I read at a few sites that high phosphates can have this effect on coral

I've always had to dose my water to get my mag up. But once up, it never drops. It just always mixes low.

Do you have an algae issue? If so, chances are your phosphate is elevated.

Yup. However, the algae problem is nowhere near as bad. I could post pictures if it's relevant.

Also, should I dose Seachem Reef Complete (I dose with Seachem for alk and calc)?

The Alk and Calc test kits were bought a month ago and expire 2016. I don't think there's any issue with either of those. However I can't say the same for my other test kits.

Gotcha. Well double check on ammonia. That's my guess for now.

    Anything die recently?

I'll bring my water to my LFS since I don't trust my kit. I had a goby did about a month ago

Bought two big bottles of what I thought were Calcium and Alk dosing bottles. They still are, but they're Seachem's Reef Fusion 1 and 2, which is a two-part dosing that should be done every 1-2 days. Should I start up on that instead of twice a week for each like before?
