So far I have just added the third increment of biopellets today. No real increase in skimmate production or reduction of nutrients as of now.

Modified NextReef MR1. I don't expect much for a little while anyway. I figure it will be a good 2 weeks to a month after the full dose is in until i really start seeing some changes.

I like the MR1 a lot. Just a tip if you go that route, if your first inciment is small, for me it was 1/4 cup, there will be almost no tumble due to the small amount of pellets. At first i didn't think I had enough flow, but then after adding another 1/4 cup, the tumbling began.

I have read mixed reviews about the BRS biopellet reactor. I may buy the SMR1 because I do need another reactor for carbon. I will probably just switch the biopellets to the SMR1 reactor for slightly more even flow through the pellets due to the wider tubing used in the SMR1.

it seems as though the Reef Octo has the best design though.

My reactor is off to the side of my sump being driven by my return pump. Yes, that is the reactor I am talking about.
