Does anything eat diatoms?

    Just went through a pretty major diatom problem (long story, short version is never dose vodka when you have any cyano). I've got some mexican turbo snails, hermits, emerald crabs, and nassarius snails. The only ones I saw even getting near the stuff was the emerald crabs and the hermits, but I dont recall ever seeing them eat it. My nassarius snails would definitely not eat them, they would burrow right in the red slime and though I anticipated it making the sandbed not look as bad, that was not the case.

    diatoms do eat them, as do ceriths and nerites

    Nerite snails did the trick! And an awesome cuc from reef cleaners !

    I'm just worried if I add another power head the diatoms will come back in full bloom
