Hi, do any of you keep leather corals in your mixed reef tasks? I have mostly LPS and some mushrooms. I would like some SPS soon. Some acros and monti's. I have a, what I belive to be a Kenya tree. My tank is 75 gals. Total water volume 85/90 gals. I have a bag with carbon in the sump.

Do I need to get rid of the leather coral since I want SPS? And will I see any of my LPS die because there's a leather in the tank? The Kenya tree is all by itself on one side of the tank and looking very happy.

I kept a kenya tree in my tank for a while and the sps were doing just fine. I ran carbon in the tank and never had an issue with it being mixed. I got rid of the kenya tree because it grows like weeds in the tank. Where the problem arose was when it grew so large that it either shaded the other coral or touched them and warfare.

Thank you. I think I'll keep it for a while then.
