gillguy, is there a reason you posted about your led setup on every forum that has a thread about this company? are you affiliated with them at all? hmmm...

I am not affiliated with them at all. I first found the company on Ebay and contacted several of the buyers that had bought kits to see if they liked the LEDS. I then wanted to order through Ebay to have the security since I've never ordered from China but Aquastyle had removed their Ebay store. I went on their website and sent numerous e-mails to Aquastyle and got information about the LEDS. I then contacted Bridgelux to verify that they sold to Aquastyle so that I wasn't getting a knock off. That's when I posted on several forums to see if anyone else had bought them and some had and were pleased. Some of those threads I didn't even begin. Most of my posts were to threads that people were already talking about Aquastyle. Go ahead and read all of the threads don't just skim through them. The only reason I posted the pictures was because forum members had asked.

So DBOSHIBBY and kiddboa, if you don't want to believe me then so be it. I could also say that you might work for an American competitor who is upset that some company has exposed your overpricing.

Mati_L you'll be happy with the product.

I'm not saying you are. Just seemed a little fishy to me.
Didn't mean to offend anyone, just seems recently there have been a lot of people hoping on forums and promoting there products under the radar.
I'm looking at purchasing one of these kits, so I would rather have a actual reefers perspective on it instead of a salesmans.
I would hope a company wouldn't do something like that but you never know, there are some sketchy people out there.

Mati_L, I believe that the 72 kit should be plenty for SPS. You might actually have to dim them a bit. However, to have success you will have to experiment with placement of your corals. You don't want to bleach them so dim the LEDS at first and increase the intensity weekly.

You mentioned earlier that you would be hanging the LEDS. Will they be hung inside a canopy like mine or will they just hang open over the tank? This is also important. If they are inside a canopy then you will be limited to how high you can hang them. Mine are 12 above the water surface. If they are not in a canopy then you can hang them as high as needed to get the proper coverage. Remember, the higher you go the narrower the optics should be. I believe your kit comes with 60 degree optics. That's what mine came with. 60 degree optics is good for up to 18 inches if the LEDS are placed 2-3 inches apart. Higher than 18 inches would probably require 40 optics. Higher than 24 inches and you would need about 20 degree optics. If you are within 12 inches then you would need 80 or 90 degree. Hope that helps.

I will be hanging them with no canopy so i guess i would have to shot for 18inches maybe 15 or so off the top of the tank to get the right spread or ask if they have 80 degree optics.. Thanks for the info, i think im going to bite the bullet and buy them, see what happens
