    well i was'nt planning on growing the pods but ok

    this is going to be my main flitration in my 10 gallon insted of the filter pads

    I just added sand and some rocks and in a few days I had pods climbing all around.

    in the fuge should i put some rocks and sand right now all i have in there is cheto

    I did, it gives them something to hide in and stick to. But if your not doin it for the pods then I wouldnt worry. But a good pod population is always a good thing.

    would this clog the little motor? These aren't really made to handle this kind of thing... I don't think a deep sand bed could be done to be a true fuge - or could it?




    i did too... then i got a 6 line wrasse. now i have an OK population. if it would work in your idea, I might do it so I could also support a mandarin later. I think to support those kinds of fish, you have to already have the 'safe haven' populations already established.

    so I love this idea and thinking I might try it working towards a future mandarin purchase.

    I've been thinking about this all day. Where did you find that light? Are there different K's available?

    found the lights at big lots thinking i would change the bulbs to led and make my moon lights the ones it came with are incandescent it's made for lighting in cabinets

    product code is 23648

    the k rating is'nt on the box paid $6 so it's worth it only problem right now is it runs a little hot but it has a nice sleak look and is not noticeable

    so before i put in the fuge my prameters were 0 for amonia,natrate, and nitrite and posphates were 1 there now .5 and could count about 25 pods on the glass

    this is the starting point for this experment
