Thanks, I tend to think so ;)

But honestly, I don't have much to evaluate against, having never kept SPS before.

i'm in the same boat, switched to led, started to keep sps recently have never had any before and i wonder what "good" growth is vs...mh? t5? not that it really matters as long as the coral is healthy and i'm happy but i'm also always curious if its "appropriate" growth or not.

Why thank you, but I would like to remind everyone that not all LEDs are created equal.

Take this thread as a testament to these specific LEDs only.

It looks as if the color has faded from a few corals, not as green or blue etc, it may just be the red spectrum you chose, but either way it seems like you have really good growth.

I see what you see in the photos, but I don't know if that result is real, or an effect of the photos. In person, it seems to me the colors have gotten more intense. However, I have turned up the intensity of the LEDs from the first set of photos, and my camera has a hard time getting the white balance/contrast correct.

Very helpful DIY, so thank you for sharing!

One thing I keep tripping up on the Dimmable Driver, I see you are running 5 of them but why? Is this to create the sunrise/sunset or is it because they can only carry a string of so many LED units.

    TIA

Each driver can only run a very specific amount of LEDs.

I believe the dimmables are 12-14 LEDs, but I would have to read to be 100% on that number.
