just some updates for you guys... pictures are minimal and bad lol my phone died mid build and started turning pictures blue





so as you can see here, i did away with the center return hole idea and kinda just built what came to thought, with the holesaw i made a notch in the glass for the return pipe to go over the overflow not through, seemed easier than getting the bulkheads to line up...over all i like that gray glass all i need is a black back now

 

I like the idea u did on the return. I woulda never thought of that.

with the drill press making that half circle was so easy, just a little water and it took like a min max, now i might have to use 1/2 loc line if i cant find a coupling to make the 3/4 slip to 3/4 threads.. i just used a bushing and two 3/4 street elbows, worked great so far

ill start adding some pvc to the back but i need to wait until i find where my tank is going, just moved dont have an appartment just yet lol

which one should have the gate valve?? the one that doesnt have the air line correct?

 

tomorrow i will attemps to drill a 3/4 inch pipe with several holes across my center brace as a return, any opinions on this ? ill test see if i like it and where holes shoot out but its just and idea, we'll see what happens

 

Thats awesome dude! Love it, I've never seen that before. It should work just fine i would think, the holes will be under water it looks like, so it should be quiet.

Yes the gate valve goes on the standpipe without the vent.
