crawdad's crayfish, I use them interchangeably.
Is the tank priced well ?
Or should i build my own ?
Discus will not work in a 15 gallon tank, regardless of how good the price is.
They can get away with this in the LFS because its not going to stay that way longterm, it does not mean you can do it successfully at home.
You see panther groupers in small tanks at the lfs all the time, I even saw one in a nano setup at the counter ... I promise this won't work long term.
that tank would work fine without the discus and the lobster
theres no lobster
sorry I said that because thats what you wanted initially.
and the blue crayfish, is usually labelled as an electric blue lobster which is why I accidentily called it a lobster
O sorry i messed up to.
there is nothing but fish and plants in the tank at the LFS
It sounds pretty pricy for a tank that size, I'm guessing he's charging that because its got discus in it already, which aren't cheap ... I remember paying over $150 each for my blue maze pair.
I'd recommend something else until you've got room for a bigger tank. If you have your heart set on discus, a 55 should be the smallest that you go.
Remember, a full grown discus can be upwards of 8 inches across ... they get to be the size of dinnerplates
The biggest i could get is a 20g
