    Thanks a lot!

    Some notes, I tested my parameters last night. I've been buffering up my pH (along with adding Kalk) and my dkH is through the ROOF. I mean, much much higher than what's required. It's around 15.5 dkH and my calcium is very high, too! I haven't been adding anything to the tank until recently, and these levels have always been high, with my pH always sitting around 8.0.

    Any idea about why my Alk and calcium are so high?

    are your test kits ok? Have you retested it? How long after you added the buffer did you test your water parems.

    Might want to get a second opinion on the water test...run sample to LFS and see what they get
