What are you using to test ammonia? I ask as API test kits can make it very difficult to tell the difference between 0 & .25. For this reason I use Seachem ammonia checkers on my QT tanks and for during cycling. They show as little as .02 PPM. Although if you have had some chromis in the tank for a few weeks now, I really hope that ammonia is not still present :-/

So all of my test kits are API. I just ordered a seachem ammonia kit off amazon. I'll get it Wednesday. Some times when I look at the results I see yellow and others I see a pail green. Lets see what seachem shows. I think it may be 0 because my fish seem to be doing really well.

Here are some pictures of recent ammonia tests.

    Pic #1 is from 4/28
    Pic #2 is from 4/27

Taking pictures IMO is almost better to determine what level its at. As you can see the tests are API. I have a SeaChem coming Wednesday.

Just did another ammonia test a few minutes ago but forgot to take a picture. It was in between these two colors.

    Opinions?

My guess is ammonia is 0, but hopefully your new test will confirm.
