Deresa Thread???

I read about the by? threads that spread out and attach themselves to the bottom to rocks/ whatever. I figured that these threads come from the foot area. OK..tonight this clam had a thread like thing comming from shpon area it looked like it would retract in once in a while. I thought maybe it was like the feeder things ? or something that corals send out? Then a fish swam by scared it shut and it released the thread . OK....was it poop ? Now I'm really confused. :-/

 

It was probably waste or could be a stray cyno strand that got caught on it, probably waste though.

 

I notice it has another one so I'll just keep an eye on it. No one gets privacy in my house!
