My green BTA recently suffered a powerhead-related injury. The injury wasn't that bad, but as a result, it started splitting. It was looking fine the last couple days, but it looks like it's decaying. What do I do?!

Edit: It still moves with its foot.

Unfortunately, it looks like it's a goner :( I would remove it from the tank asap so that it doesn't pollute your tank.

With the way things look, I would flush it. Not that it sounds like a humane thing to do, but perhaps better for the tank and it's inhabitants.

I had a BTA do the same thing and I decided I couldn't leave it in the tank any longer.

IMO it looks like it won't recover.

Do you have a separate tank you could put it in? BTAs are notorious for surviving pretty bad conditions/treatments... though it does look pretty rough. I was always told as long as it isn't detached and floating around the tank (looking in the same general shape or worse than yours), then there's still a chance.

I have a 40g tank that I'd be using as a QT, although it isn't set up. My tank has a sump. Should I put it in there? There's a separate chamber in it for macroalgae and stuff (although I have yet to get some)
