thats what it looks like I am going to do just need to figure out what to do with the fish in there. Purple looks better, never bothered my solorensis wrasse or female hooded fairy wrasse or firefish. Rabbit has it a bit but seems to be doing well. Is 3 months long enough or even overkill. Isn't lifespan in water w/o fish a few days?

    Sorry for your losses.

Quick question- what size tank do you have? Also, do you have a QT?

Thats a terrible loss your Red Hooded Fairy Wrasse, sorry for that, very nice fish. I couldn't be as lucky, hate to sound like a bad person, but when I added fish on my wifes request, I really didn't want fish, but I got her nemos, 2, she loved the gramma, so we got that also and leave it to me to choose a neon goby full of ich that I didn't notice, the goby died and I was hoping the other 3 would die also. So with my wife knowing nothing about the hobby, I said nothing and waited, hehehe! but the fish never died and of all things the ich disappeared on its own, how does that happen?

There is a long on-going debate about how to treat ich. Some say you have to get rid of it all together by removing all fish from the tank for 3 months, while others say you can just feed fish well and limit the amount of stress in the tank and it will "cure" itself.

I had ich on my orchid dottyback, but I fed him well and it disappeared. I'm sure it's still in the tank, though.

In your case, if the fish are all healthy and not stressed, their immune systems may have fought off the infection.
