    It sounds like your nutrients are out of control. The CUC can only eat so much. What's your feeding like?
    And agree about the snails on the glass. I keep my glass clean with a magfloat and my snails are barely ever on it because there's nothing to eat.

    I agree, try and find the cause if the algea problem. It sounds like this algea is caused by excess nutrients available. How often do you feed? what filtration do you have? how much live rock? Flow? Bio load?

    What is your CUC, paramaters, bioload, amount of rock etc...? is this the signature tank? what is feeding time like?
