I have reef cleaners bookmarked on my browser just because I've heard such good chatter about them, seeing that bag of goodies makes me glad I kept their website, how was the shipping cost on that order?

John - Do these eggs hatch and become planktonic food for the reeftank? or do they not hatch due to improper conditions?

they hatch eventually, but won't make it through the planktonic stage. You will find some rare stories of them settling on the Internet, I think I have seen it twice myself, but it is very rare they make it through that stage.

Which critter would be best for cleaning up detritus? I'm going to get the 29g quick crew. But I've also noticed quite a bit of detritus in my display after I redid the aquascape yesterday.

nassarius snails are good for that, unless it is algal detritus.
