Very cool! I used to have that algae growing out of my live rock, but my mexican turbos found it and quickly devoured it.

That's what that is...I couldn't tell. I just ordered my cuc from Reef Cleaners on Tuesday. Just snails though, no mangroves (going with biopellets). I can't wait...it should be here Friday/Saturday. Hopefully sooner than later.

if you have trouble with gracilaria you can put it in low light with flow to recoup it. Our best looking gracilaria comes from the bottom of our hermit tanks. They literally cover it, except for intermittent light as they move about and it gets high flow. This low light high flow environment produces a nice fire engine red "plant". A cooler tank is preferable to a warmer one, but I feel that way about almost all algae. Warmer tanks tend to invite film algae and other epiphytic algae that can choke out your macros....anyway just some thoughts on what we do here to keep algae and thought it might help.

I had to put the Styrofoam on the mangrove to be able to float it. John told me it would be better if the mangrove wasnt completely underwater
