cryptic zone in DSB help please

    I wanted to add a cryptic zone in between my DSB in the fuge section of my sump. Anyone have experience with this? How deep do i need the cryptic zone and how much sand on top and below? Whats the best way to create this cryptic zone with sand above and below it I could use eggcrate below of course but above im not sure because i dont want sand falling all into my CZ. any help is appreciated thanks.
