Alright I'll start looking around for one... what brand do you recommend? (We have decided we don't like the water from one of the grocery stores... we just get that "feeling" about it.)

Just because it's OK to drink doesn't mean it meets the standards of our reef tanks. Even if it is claimed to be distilled or Reverse Osmosis.

There are so many brands and types. I'm overwhelmed. What is the best brand to use? They have like 2 stage and 100 stage (exaggerating) ... I don't know what I need. I have two 75gal tanks...

(Which if I eliminate hair algae problem might be condensed into one tank)

I don't believe you will beat "The Filter Guys". I got a 5 stage RO/DI for $135.00. Jim(co-owner) is very helpful and will answer any question and talk you through whatever problem you face. I am real satisfied with them, good people.

I bought a 6 stage dual resin no carbon setup from eBay Store - purewaterclub: Filters, Household Series, RO System Parts
I have had it for about 2 years hooked a tds meter to it still puts out less than 5 tds has worked flawlessly and about as inexpensive as your going to find for this level of water filtering IMO.
P.S. I make all my drinking/cooking water with it too.

Check out Air, Water & Ice. I bought mine from them. Excellent customer service and good product, plus there one of our sponsors.
