Not true this is what PAR is all about, that is like saying the sun provides more light at 40 degrees then at 60 degrees- is this also true?

    I think not.

    Equal spectrum lighting.

The sun dosn'et provide more light at 40 than 60, but it does provides more light per unit area if focused through a 40 degree lens than a 60degree lens. After all, that's why you can burn ants with a magnifying glass ;)

Sorry but I have to disagree, that is radiant heat energy- not the same thing as lumen output. Careful how you respond.

BTW, yet again you ignore PAR- WHY?

No need to get angry over this...

I don't think you can say there is ONE correct light. There are options, and T5HO is very comparable to that of MH.

Also, while T5HO does have the widest variety of color temperatures, LED is not far behind.

The sun doesn't have lenses over it, does it? The sun being at 40* or 60*, or any angle, is not the same as the angled output of light, through a lens over the front of an LED. The degree of optics is only changed when you change the lens. The light is still being output from the same spot, but at a different angle, allowing the PAR to go deeper(or shallower) depth(in a smaller surface area) depending on the degree of the lens.

No anger here. None at all.

And yes, there is one correct light source- it's called the SUN.

Think/learn about this- then you'll understand where I am comming from.

Read what you wrote and think about it. Compare it to what you already know concerning your sun. No the sun has no lense but the Earth does. Since the sun has no lense how is this magnified light created? Is the earth round? It is not.

The sun,for all intents and purposes is focused at infinity. A light, a fixed distance above an aquarium is not.

No, Earth is flat. Everyone knows that.

    Amen.
