Corals actually growing into other corals?

    I know others have some unintentional 'hybrids' as I do.

    Sometimes when corals touch- chemical warfare and disaster!
    Like when my Pocillapora touched one of my plating Monti's.

    But this BN has actually grown into an arm of this other type of BN.
    These are all pics of the same area with the corals 'fusing'

    I thought ther greener one was a stylo- but a coral guru local saw my DT and said no- I can/t remember what he said it was though.

    Pavona slowly was winning the battle, but the Monti won the war, as I broke it off and move it to another location.

    That arm has been growing into the other for months. They don't repel each other at all.

    My starry night Monti has grown into my spongodes. Really neat looking. Civic, that Monti is awesome

    it kinda looks like they crashed together and both went vertical. Very cool looking and the starry night is AWESOME looking.

    I just picked up a starburst monti from a local reefer. I'll grab a pic when the lights turn on.

    it seems iv been able to "fuse" a greenish and a reddish digital together but thats two same species. pretty cool what you got going there,do keep us updated.
