When I first stared my aquarium, I long for the day I would massive amounts of coralline. Now I'm over it. After my tank stablelized I this stuff started to grow a lot faster than what I expected. I'm not thrilled with it growing over my powerheads, but I can live with that. The glass is what drives me nuts.

How old is your tank? Mine is two months or so, and is starting to grow pink and burgundy on the powerheads pretty good (bad?) now, and the first specks are appearing on the overflow.

My calcium is astronomical (over 600) for some reason I have not figured out, alk is 10, but to my shame I have no Mg test yet.

i dont know i stopped telling people this because they dont listen. but you dont want to encourage coraline growth as with time it will take over the tank. it will reach its peak when the glass must be cleaned every 2 days or you get half inch circles all over it.

when it gets that bad a good pack of razor blades if you have glass is the best way to clean, if you have acrylic well i feel bad for you :(
