i read in the article that green and coralline usually appear at the same time. So you should use a phosphate abosorber to help control the green algae. I bought one today and i started using it.

but won't it cause the green to grow even more because your spreading the spores.

about how long after i scrape it will it start to grow. There's this auction on ebay for a 8"x8" scraping of there coralline algae for like $10. would that help even more then my scraping. Do you need to scrape a lot for it to take off.

i'm having some red algae spots in some areas on my glass but i also have a lot of that green coralline. The red is spreading. How long til my scrapings will spread the purple coralline.

the green coralline is covering my walls so i bought some phosphate remover and it seems to hold it under control. It looks ugly and now i'm getting some red coraline algae spots. i was thinking of scraping it would that spread it around to other places in my tank.
