My green birds nest and a millie got too close together. The millie won.

The tip of a birdsnest branch was very close to the tip of a millie. The impacted branch of the birdsnest got discolored and the polyps were retracted. This was on Sunday and immediately after I took this picture I moved the millie.

Today, two days later, the birdsnest looked like this.

The affected branch appeared to be dying and spreading. Perhaps it's RTN. I decided to cut off the branch to save the colony just in case this would continue to spread. I fragged the living pieces of the cut off branch and glued them to a plug.

In the past, one two corals touched, I would see some dead issue where they touched. I have never seen tissue further in on the branch die before. Has anybody else ever seen this happen?

I have. Could be that the mille sent out messentarial filaments which could have damaged a larger area than just where the corals touched.
