    See, this is what makes me want to put a 150 watt MH pendant with 2 x actinic over my 20 Long.....keep SPS in the middle and lower light LPS on the edges. But it's that darn Northern Nevada heat that keeps me from doing it!

    I've had good luck with my lighting setup (see signature) living in the Las Vegas heat. You may notice I run a chiller, but still. I have been having good luck with SPS too, and I'm slowly making my reef SPS dominated with LPS down low. I'm actually planning on upgrading to 250w SE MH instead of 150w HQI. Not that I've having any problems, I just think a little extra wattage may help show some nice colors and add to the growth that I'm already getting..

    Well, your guys heat periods are longer and a little more intense down there than up here. Realistically, our warm periods are normally only from May/June till about late September.

    Great growth on those blastos, Ive always heard that they are really really slow growers.
