Coral color with led vs halides?

    I don't think you need to go that far. Not every color made. The predominant mix will still be white and blue. But throw in a little red and some violet and I like to add green or cyan too because then with dimmers you have nearly endless control!

    Right now I'll do a cyan and uv combo, then I'll add some red and blue later, along with some warm and neutral whites.

    Well said, I talked to Mike from Rapid and he said at this time he doesn't think you need Red LEDs, but cyan and uv have been proven to help and support coral growth.
    I run a mixture of:
    Royal Blue
    Blue
    Cool white
    Neutral white
    Cyan
    Violet

    So far growth and color are great.

    Thanks a lot, I'll definitely listen to this. I'll stick with cyan and uv. Maybe not dimmable with that? Then for the second strip add the rest on dimmable.
