It is a dry heat, yeah right !
How long have you had the Acan?

Always need parameters if a decline of a coral or fish is in question to trouble shoot the issue.

    Moved to ------LPS.

It's been in the tank for 2 months. I'll get parameters. What kind of acan would you say it is?

I can only tell you it's Acanthastrea lordhowensis.

You want to pay special attention to the big 3 parameters especially ALK.

If you are using LED's you may want to move the coral down some in the tank.

Target feeding at night after see a feeding response is always a good idea with this coral.

It's not an Acan. lord. I can assure you that. Perhaps I should get a better picture.

I really don't think it's an acan personally... but I'm not experienced enough to know what it is either.

Is it a candy cane frag?

Regardless, it's an LPS and the basics of husbandry are pretty much the same. They all benefit from target feedings and all decline in the presence of swing in parameters and too much light. Often times you start to see the skeletal structure as the tissue regresses.

You can go to Liveaquaria.com, Vivid aquarium.com....... for better ideas. I can not even tell size in the image.
