Currently a Radium 20k, I like it and get good growth. Previously was the Phoenix 14K, it just was too blue for me. I know a lot of people like that blue but it detracted from the true color of the corals IMO. Maybe in a nano with a pendent fixture. Unless something else catches my attention I will probably stick with the Radium on this tank anyway.

good to know. i picked up a 33g long and a basic 20g and ill be planning a small nano build soon, maybe a frag tank or just another reef but im contimplating MH as i already have 2 tanks, one running LED and other with T5. the radium is likely what i will use also, thanks.

Awesome shots, the new settings sure show how much your corals pop. Do you turn off all the flow when you take pictures? Also, do you take a lot of your pictures after waking up the tank? What I mean, is you let the lights go off, so the polyps come out to feed, then turn the lights on and catch em with their pants down? lol You can always tap the corals before taking the pictures, all that PE is what is making it tough to focus.

You would be deadly with a new DSLR and Macro lens.

    Thanks so much. :)

Probably 90% are with the flow on.

As far as waking up the tank, usually not. Sometimes when PE is extreme, every once in awhile they really go nuts. I am sure you see the same thing with your acropora. I get some good shoots at night for sure, but PE is usually decent to most acropora. I think I tend to pick acropora that have a tendency for more pronounced PE.

Now if I had your set up with a new DSLR and Marco lens, watch out. :)

I don't know about that, right now I am away from my tank, and have a service company doing weekly maintenance...I'm scared to go home..lol...I just got a couple of great frags, and the guy said that a couple of corals were broken off the plugs, and under my rocks, too hard for him to retrieve...lol

    Hey barbianj,

I was kind of wondering if you would notice. I really like a couple shots. But most are of the same old coral. Let me see what I got. :)
