Convict Tang FOTM December '08

There was a good episode of Blue Planet recently- "coral seas" I think- showing a huge school of convict tangs coming into a reef, and these 2 poor powder blues trying to defend their territory. The convicts are very impressive!

 

I have been waiting and waiting but it finally came! I now have a new Convict and his name is Lector. As soon as he is up to it I will get some pics and post them!

 

I am getting the DVD collection of The Blue Planet for christmas. I hope this on there.

 

+1. That was very interesting! The poor little pair of powders helplessly trying to chase of literally hundreds if not thousands of convict tangs. Apparently its commonplace on the reef for a school of convicts to decimate the algae so pad that many many pairs of tangs end up starving due to lack of algae in their territory of the school has passed. And keep in mind this takes all of 1-2 minutes
