    I'm not getting this? This unit costs 61 and the Ultra-X cost 32. Both will serve the same function.

    The Radions communicate with each other wirelessly. All they need is one connection to the PC. The Ecothech software updates are also done a a whole when the units are grouped. Sooo..

    Isn't the smaller Ultra-X a better deal for half the money? What am I missing?

    I prefer this one http://marine-engineers.org/2011/12/14/ecotech-marine-radion-xr30w-wireless-control/as it has more usb ports so i can connect my other USB devices to it rather than just one device with the Ultra X. Another perk i guess is the device management software that the IOGEAR comes with.
    The ultra X is a good buy considering the price however.

    Did find a down side to the Ultra-X unit. It operates on the older USB 1.0 standard. Communications will be slower.
