Alright so a few years back I found an empty Queen Conch shell in the Bahamas. I'd been looking for one without the trademark hole in the back where it had been opened for consumption and finally found it about 1/4" above the sandbed. I digress. I've had it out in the yard for a few years and I'd like to get it clean. What do I do?

It may either house a Bluespot Jawfish or just be a zoa rock, or both.

Soak it in bleach for a day or so, rinse thoroughly and it will be good to use.

I thought that at first, but wasn't sure about the bleach. Thanks!

If I were you, I would water down the bleach first. Use about 25% bleach to 75% water. That way, it is easier to wash out and it won't have any adverse effects for your fish/water parameters.

Bleach shouldn't hurt, just rinse it in RO water with baking soda in it. You should be good to go. White vinegar might work as well depending on whats on it.
