    No. I have the octopus on my tank and it really is awesome. I still run a HOB filter though too.

    i think once you get to know everyone here, we really are just a bunch of goofs, I have owned many tanks before, now just have an 18 gallon cycling.

    Ya, I skimboard as a profession and we have a forum and everyone messes with the newbs thats what I was expecting on here, but thank you for all your advice sorry if I am a pain in the butt, I'm just not that educated and I love the hobby.

    just an FYI this is a family board, so just try and tone it down on any language. In this hobby, if anyone actually picks on you for being new there is something wrong with them, no need for any attacks on a new person just trying to enjoy the hobby...
