College Football Thread!!!!!

Oh, come on, Bama is a great place.. were not like LSU or Tenn fans that will taunt you rudely..

On LSU weekend, I heard a group of LSU guys probably around the same age as me tell this father that was with his young family(he was probably mid forties, kids around 10-12) that he looked like a "no good bama redneck with a g*y sweatervest". and then the group screamed Geaux Tigers right in his face.. It scared the kids and the wife.. The guy and his family were clearly not rednecks and dressed nice and were wearing matching Rolex(I look at everyones watch for some strange reason). This was unprovoked because I was following the guy towards our quad and they were walking opposite way of us. This was just one example, I saw this all day long up until we beat them at which point they tried to start fights everywhere. They are the worst fans to ever go to any school. Im so glad we beat the crud out of them on the field, so all we had to say in retaliation of their bantering was "scoreboard"..

so with that said.. come on down.. we'll treat ya nicely..

 

You pay for my ticket, I'm game And yes, I hate Tennessee fans. They always have some retarded delusion that "this year will be different. We'll be national champs this year." And then, at the beginning of the year everyone was talking smack and just hating on poor Crompton. And now that he's won a few games or at least played fairly well, everyone has the attitude of "I love Crompton, he's been great". It's enough to make any person with sense want to yell SHUT UP ALREADY!!! Those stupid hypocrites. At the beginning of the season peoples' facebook statuses would just be "I HATE CROMPTON!" It blows my mind.

I actually met some nice Georgia fans the other day. They said they had no qualms with me, since I was an AU fan. I guess because we're not a threat at the moment? But most Georgia fans are really annoying. They aren't mean, just annoying. Especially during a football game (I was in the GA section at the GA-AU game last year >.< )

Florida fans are really annoying this year, too. If you are a true Florida fan, and were a fan before the demi-god Tebow showed up, then you have every right to be a fan and to be annoying. I just hate the people who jump on the band wagon and ride along.

Any winning team is going to get bandwagon fans; it's inevitable. I guess I was probably a bandwagon fan myself, back in 1992. I came to Gainesville right about when Spurrier returned ... the Gators were on a roll ... it was an easy fever to catch.

I don't even know for sure if I'm a real fan yet, 'cause I've never had to experience a losing season.

What's that like??? ;D

Born in Gainesville so that makes me a gator by birth. Although were doing great now don't getto complacent if we dont start letting brantly get some field time we may be in trouble

 

Yeah, that's the trouble with being a Gator this year - the expectations. We're 10-0, and I can't say I've enjoyed a single game, other than Georgia. They felt more like escapes than wins.

If I had expected nothing from this team, every single game would have been a joy.

There is a lesson here somewhere, I'm sure.

 

I agree with you here. It seems like ESPN and other media want us to take the plunge every year even before we start. And it only gets worse as we progress.. We had a 12-0 season last year before meeting florida at the georgia dome, but all season its nerve racking. Also, I dont know why but ESPN just loves to bash on us..
