Stop feeding the clown, for now. Sometimes they swim at odd angels when over feed.
Lymphocyctsis is a self limiting viral infection.

    Post an image please.

Does the fish have growths or lumps near his mouth?

Can you get a side view?

How long has it gone without eating?

    Are your parameters in line?

Look at the link below specifically at Mycobacteriosis.

    Marine Fish Diseases and Parasites

Unfortunately I have never seen a fish make a recovery.

The bulge could be a growth, blockage or intestinal parasites.

If it can not eat, treatment may be impossible.

It does sound like this:( the fish has become lethargic, but the growth is white? is that still signs of it

All I can tell you is that IME it is generally manifested by growths surrounding the mouth.

Lymphocytosis seems to turn up the fins and looks more like a white cotton growth and is not limited to one area.

Maybe someone else will chime in with a treatment. Unfortunately it has always been fatal for my fish.

My opinion is only speculation based on your description and what I can make out from the images.

I would keep on researching and wait for others to chime in. For now I will look around and see if I find anything promising.
