    I suggest that when you get your fish healthy again, try getting some GSP (Green star polyp) or xenia coral frags and watch your clowns play in them. They are very hardy and pretty too.

    NOT an HOB( Hang on back) or a canister filter.
    You will need a really good protein skimmer and Id go with a sump.

    Clowns play in them too? I thought they only play with anemone?

    Nope clowns will host (live in) a number of corals. GSP, xenia, even mushrooms.

    What does the protein skimmer do? For mines, i have the one that came with the fishtank. Comes with a 10 gal.

    Protein skimmer create agitation in the main tube/chamber and cause bubbles. In those bubble are all of the impurities and protein from our water. They build up in a dry froth and collect in a cup so as to not contaminate your tank.

    To explain it to my 4 year old grandson....we told him it was where all the poop was so that the fish didnt have to swim in the toilet.
