Clove Polyp

Algae is growing over. I just shot them with a turkey baster. The algae is open ,but they are stilll not opened. What should i do next?

 

blasting with a turkey baster might not be the best idea. im not sure what type of algae you are dealing with but you might just be helping it spread. there are nutrients in your system which are feeding the algae.

to decrease nutrients.
-protein skimming
-phosphate reactors
-frequent water chages
-increase flow
-use of macroalgae
-use of quality water (RO water) no tap water
-keep a good watch on params. test personally.

many more ways, but just a few to help.
