Very cool! I just like the thought of movement in the tank, other than the fish, and I have seen these open and close. Yours are sweet! Do you spot feed them or just add into water flow?

Could you scrape them off the rock? And then remove them?

If biocube scrapes them off, he's sending them to fellow reefers! I love GSP, xenia, clove polyps, etc....It's all a matter of what you like. If you plan on SPS, then these types of corals are probably not the best because of their tendencies to spread......

But do the cloves spread as quickly as the gsp? I am pretty good about doing any maintainence to the tank so if I have to do periodic cuttings, that's ok, I just don't want to have to pull out the weedeater every week...:p

THE MORE YOU ARE FORCED TO CUT THEM THE FASTER THEY WILL GROW. CONTROLLING THEM IN A SMALL TANK WILL BE DIFFICULT.Sorry for the caps.lol
I agree that if you were doing a softies only tank spreading is not so much of a problem but if you plan on LPS or SPS in the future I would avoid them. I love my Sympodium. It is much easier to control then GSP and grows slower. The best part is the movrment IMO and its coloration!!!If you want to remove some it is simple as getting it to close.(annoy it lol) then scraping the individual globs or pieces of broccoli (it looks like stalks of broccoli ranging in size.)off the rock.Because it is blue seeing exactly where and what you want to remove is simple.;)

I don't spot feed them at all. I just give them moderate flow/light :)
