Mabe like a lime away type product? I think the foggy film is scale. Restating the obvious here, make sure you really really rinse that tank when you are done. Any trace of these chemicals (bleach , etc) could cause issues down the road

Vinegar water and razor blade. The razor should get pretty much anything off the glass.

I have tried all of these with several repeats and it's a no go. The razor blade doesn't work , you don't feel anything on the glass

Could the tank possibly have two panes of glass? 3/4" seems pretty thick. If that's the case the problem could be between the two panes, which no amount of cleaning would cure.

I dont think they use 3/4" untill 200g+...it could be double pane. Try to soak a pane in vinegar and give it some time then razor it. If that doesnt get the scale off...maybe its been etched by something.

If you can't feel it, it sounds like it may be this problem :( we have this clouding on our French door glass panes - it's between the panes and clouded and no amount of cleaning will get rid of the fog...

3/4 is not uncommon in custom tank. It will take lots of vinegar, razor blades and elbow grease.
