Hallo all, well im dont morning my cleaner shrimp and am ready to move on...i am able to purchase as small at about 1in buggers and ...well in you guys's opinion for a 55 gal reef...what would be an ok group (i know they like being in groups) i mean if i get 3 would 2 of them form a pair and then the last would die because its lonley lol...my bud had a 100 gal tank and has alot of them in there prolly like 6-7, they are all over the place, i have a wrasse...but it doesnt mess with my peppermint shrimp...so im hoping it wouldnt mess with the cleaners, its a hoevens wrasse...

Peppermints are nocturnal so unless you keep them in large groups of 5 or more, you won't see them. Same goes for the scarletts. Your best bet is to get a pair of skunks. Try to stay away from camel backs as they have been known to eat corals. There's safety in numbers so the more shrimp you get, the better the chances are that they won't hide most of the time. There's no limit on how many shrimp you can keep because they add practically nothing to a tank's bioload. And don't worry about loneliness as they don't have feelings and emotions like we do :)

You can get as many as you want. 2 or more will guaranty that you will get a mated pair but that doesn't mean that 3 or more won't get along. :)
