Well like I said, did you condition your water at all or just use it as is? I know you say it's distilled but still...I would bet that's what it was.

What is your alk/ dkh? I didn't see it in your test.

I honestly dont know. LFS said it was to early to be of concern because its a new tank. I do understand that alk/dkh is directly affected by Ph. When I first added the salt water the Ph was 7.8. Per the LFS I added a Ph buffer. I will try a small water change with RO water and see if the Ph lowers. They also suggested chemi-pure elite filter media, which I bought but havent added yet.

I will have to get a test kit for those and report back.

I'm not a chemist so I don't know what all those elements are in that post, but I saw chloride and a few other things that don't sound good. I'll bet it was the water. Especially since it went unconditioned. I could be wrong, but that's what I'm going with for now.

Would it hurt to start doing small RO water changes to fix this?

If the water is the cause, then you need to change it all out entirely. How big is the tank?

30 gallons. How am I sure if the water is the cause?

Well your other parameters check out, pH is a little high but like I said that wouldn't kill them off so fast. No copper, temp is ok, what else could it be?

Did you happen to wash out the tank before you filled it? If you did and you used soap, that could be another cause...

Didnt add soap when washing it out.

Here is my plan of attach:

    1. Buy dkh test kit on my way home and post results.
    2. Do small water change with RO water.
    3. Add chemi-pure elite filter medium
    4. Watch Ph level to make sure it drops.
    5. Wait.
