He added the LR and LS for the cycle. Did the same with my 135 and had a 4 week cycle with reading off the chart!

make sure to have the LFS check for copper just to be safe.

Also if you have a heater make sure it is not broken as I had one break and it wipped out a tank once, and it happened in a couple hours.

keep us posted on tests and hopefully more will respond

IMO a cycle will last 8-12 weeks. I don't care what the readings show at that time, give the tank a minimum 8 weeks to balance out before considering the cycle complete. I didn't read through all the specs you posted about the water, but as I skimmed through I did notice TDS was at 48. This will kill you in the long run with algae, I would switch to RO/DI water if I were you.

What are you using for testing? Do you have a grounding probe?

are they all still dead? sometimes when you put snails in, they'll sit around for awhile before becoming active. Drinking water is not distilled, it still has mineral contaminants in it, so it's more like using expensive tap water. I didn't see if there was any chlorine in the water you used, which would be bad.

also - is there a good reef shop in annapolis? - i'm in salisbury and we don't have much out here...

I have an RO filter for water in my kitchen and plan on using that water for all future water changes. Whats TDS in the drinking water?

I am using a API test kit. Following all the directions to a T. I also checked the kit and it was up to date.

There is good reef shop in Glen Burnie. House of tropics. I will have them test the water tomorrow when I bring the dead guys back.

I knew we could get the ball rolling on this if we just kept it at the top of the posts. At least some of the more knowledgeable people are starting to post. You should be in good hands now.
