If the clam hasn't set its foot down yet, it's not "happy" where you've set it. What kind of clam is it?

its a crocea amcarrig. it has been in that spot for over 2 months. it had set its foot down, could see it on the glass. the clam had actually turned itself to get better flow for it. what im guessing might have happened, is it could have gotten spooked by something and maybe just tipped? its mantle is nice a full and frilly. and the clam is nice and active. to me , a relative newbie it looks fine and healthy. but i could be wrong.

Well, try putting a flat piece of rock or shell underneath it to set its food back down. Croceas are rock boring clams and tend to prefer a solid surface to settle down in.

My maxima just did that recently too. I had a feeling that my maroon may have tried to push it over or something, but I don't know. I placed it upright on it's rock again. I wonder if it's telling me it wants to be higher up closer to the light. It's still nice and full and has grown about 1/2" since I bought it 2 months ago.
