clam doesnt look too well

    my clam which i got for around 5 days now is still not opening back up to the way it used to be. it opens a small amounts and stays like that.. is this because it is not in the right surroundings or could it be dying?

    What are its surroundings, particularly, the lighting it's under and the age of the tank that it's in? Also, how big is the clam and what kind is it?

    Can you take some pictures of it?
    Clams are very delicate though the larger ones are often easier to maintain. As Amcarrig pointed out, what kind of clam do you have and the other variables answered can help us to answer your questions!
    Is anything stressing your clam out?
    Depending on the type of clam, lighting, placement in the tank, water parameters and water flow are significant variables that should be addressed as well.
