Well I added it and it seems to be doing ok. The moss balls dont float like in that video, I slowly drip acclimated them to get used to the higher salinty. I honestly don't know what to expect with these and how itll work. Ill take pics as the days go on to see if they grow or die or what will happen. My theory with this is it will work, similiar to how mollies can survive on a reef tank.

I talked to my LFS, and they have 2 left, one he is going to test out in a sw tank and the other is mine as soon as I show up.
I was also thinking about drip acclamation.

Small update the moss balls have now been in the sump for 4 days and theyre still alive. No signs of die off. The balls haven't grown in size very much. Can see a little bit of growth on them. Im not measuring po4 or nitrates so cant comment on how its consumption is going. But the fact they survived this long is a sucess in my books.
The moss balls just appear to be a ball of hair algae.

I got a couple of ragged ones from my LFS, it was the last 2 they had and they were falling apart. I put them in my sump and now they are just hanging around. Same as nc2 said, still there, no signs of growing, but no signs of dying!

Flow is pretty minimal, a bit from the reactor return pointing into it, might try to find a mini pump one day to add a bit more.
