Yeah I was wondering the same, also how high above the water are they.
I have a 75 and I am currently using T5's but really want to go with the LED's
becasue of several reasons, mostly the electrical savings, but heat and longevity
of the bulbs is also a factor.

 

Nice growth, Nismo400. How long have you had your bulbs?

 

i built up on my canopy with some 2 x 4 and attached some home depot clamp lights for the bulbs which are about 7 inches off the water

 

Thanks. Think it's been a month and a half now. Never saw the blue in my birdsnest polyps until a couple weeks after adding the bulbs! I'm sure they'll continue to progressively get better.

I can also attest to the functionality of the BoostLEDs - I have had 2 (3RB/2CW - 60degree optics) on a 30 gallon cube - and WOW - everything is happy and the color rendering is beautiful!!!!

I would recommend these to about anyone in about any situation!

 

Just wanted to update some nice growth I've been noticing in my birdsnest frag lately. The pic from a few posts prior is only about two weeks ago.


Also that encrusting Monti I have is beginning to turn blue! The pics from my iPhone are really hindered by the blue in the bulb. I moved the frag slightly so that it wasn't sideways and portions of it shadowed. It's about 13 inches away from my 3B 2W bulb. I'm stoked!!!
