How can a person tell? They don't even know over the phone. It's really irritating. If the square pin bulbs work then all will be ok.

BTW I only have 4 cords.

Have you tried other bulbs to see if they work? Luna

No, I called the LFS store earlier and asked if I could come over and try some things out.. I almost did it until they told me their bulbs are $80 a piece... whew... $36 at Marine Depot. I guess I'll find out.. I'll let ya know in a few days when they arrive.. As long as they work it shouldn't be a big deal seating them in the same position... just a different connector. I really didn't want to get into wiring stuff. I don't trust myself.

:beer:Well, I had to saw a hole for the plug to fit in the fixture for the new ballast, but the square pin bulbs work.. So I'm back in business. Got the dual purple/blue actinics.

what replacement PC daylight bulbs are you guys using? My bulbs are all a year old and one pc conked out already... saving up for a MH ballast overhaul as well... icecap is the most popular replacement so far correct?

You sir get K+! I had to replace one of my new bulbs tonight (bad bulb from the beginning) and I popped out the moonlights as you suggested. This worked very well for me. (I would have done this before but just assumed they were glued in or something!)

    Thanks!
