I'll check it out. I get my shrimp from there on occasion. Bait shop sells a frozen box of squid for like $3.

That's cheap bro. I order just the tubes because the tentacles are to tough. Can't beat 3 bucks though.

Just noticed these ZOA's starting to pop up all over a piece of LR in my tank, which is a pleasant surprise. Not the best pic though. Could there have been a hitchhiker from when I firts started the tank?

Nice chris. I bet they look good under actinic lighting. They look like radioactive dragon eyes. Hitchiking is very possible. Actually I for got to tell you that I stopped by when you were out and threw some zoas in there for ya. Lol

Heck I'll leave the door open in the future! I just don't think my LED's are strong enough to support coral growth, or at least I used to think that. Maybe I'll try throwing some stuff in there that likes low light. My LED's are the Marineland Reef capable 48".

I just looked up my LED's on Marinelands website. I bought it off a local reef forum and didn't have a manual. I just learned the built in timer is set up for 12hrs. I have them plugged into my timer that runs 8hr. Being it's pretty low light in my 300gal should I run them the full 12hr?

You can run them 12 hrs. That light would have a tough time supporting anything but softies so 12 hrs would be good. Those zoas will be fine.

With the harem of coral munchers I have, softies is all I would dare to put in there anyway. I had a killer ZOA farm going in my 75, I'd like to try and duplicate that in this one if I could.

Most likely. I had a some zoas that I thought disappeared in my 55 about two years ago. Upon my upgrade, I had found them burried. They got near zero light but still survived. Crazy.
